Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1788 into law!
From Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife
AB 1788, the bill that places a moratorium on the use of second generation anticoagulant rodenticides, was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom during a Virtual Signing Ceremony. CLAW attended the special event with fellow environmental advocates throughout the state and enjoyed comments from the Governor, CA legislators, and CA EPA leadership.
CLAW is ever-thankful for the thousands of Californians who voiced their support for this bill, including the many environmental organizations and advocates who tirelessly support this cause.
We continue to thank the bill’s author Assemblymember Richard Bloom, co-authors Assemblymember Laura Friedman and Senator Henry Stern, and bill sponsors Animal Legal Defense Fund, Center for Biological Diversity, and Raptors Are The Solution (RATS).
We especially want to thank Governor Newsom. You can send him a note of thanks here, or on his social media platforms Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
