Airbnb Bans Party Houses

Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, tweeted on Saturday, November 2nd, that the company would bar “party houses” and step up its efforts against unauthorized parties. The company will create a dedicated “party house” rapid response team, and it will expand manual screening of high-risk reservations. Airbnb will also take action against users who violate these policies, including removal. LAPD Call numbers

According to the new commander at Hollywood Station Captain Steve Lurie, “if a party is keeping neighbors up at 2 am, they should phone 911”.  This is a change from our previous direction to call the non-emergency # (877-ASK-LAPD) in all cases.
